Love Makes A Family
Staff

A word from the staff: Love Makes A Family is not just our job, it is our work. It's what we're doing with our lives to try to make the world better for those who will follow us. Each of us is here because it feels like the right thing for us to be doing. We also like it when we get paid and send a big thanks to all of the Love Makes a Family members who contribute so that this is also our employment.

Bonnie Tinker is the founder and Executive Director of Love Makes A Family, inc., an organization of families headed by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual people, and their friends. Groundwork for the secular organization was laid during her production of a video tape, Love Makes A Family, about lesbian and gay Quaker families (1992). From May, 1993 until January 1998 Bonnie served as moderator for Love Makes A Family: A Public Dialog About Lesbians, Gays and Family Values broadcast weekly on a local talk radio station.

The Rev. Cecil Charles Prescod, an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, is the contracted Corodinator of our Public Voice for Peace Project, and an advisor to MultiQueer. He has been active in social justice and peace organizing for over two decades. Among the organizations that he has worked with are the Fellowship for Reconciliation, the American Friends Service Committee, Love Makes a Family, Inc., Brother to Brother, and the Urban League of Portland. In 2002 he received the Russell Peyton Human Rights Award from the Metropolitan Human Rights Center.
